Freshmen Orientation:
August 25, 2017 @ 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Open House for Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors:
 August 25, 2017  @ 2:00 – 4:00 pm

Open House is a time for students to get pertinent information pertaining to the 2017 – 2018 school year and to meet their first semester teachers.  Please call the school if you have any questions.

 

        
Student Schedules

Student schedules have been mailed. Schedule changes will be considered for the following reasons only:

  • You have less than 8 classes, unless early graduate
  • You have a class you already passed
  • You have a course out of sequence
If you need a schedule change, you must submit the PFHS Schedule Change Request Form that was enclosed with your schedule and letter.  Forms can be submitted to the main office between August 8 – August 11, 2017 Remember, this is for 1st and 2nd semester changes.  No changes will be made once the school year has begun.  
If you have a change that requires speaking to a counselor you may come in at the times listed below.  Please be sure to bring the schedule change request form with you fully completed.
  • Senior Schedule Change Request August 8th – 9 am – 12 pm, 1 – 3 pm
  • Early Grads/ Early Release Students August 9th – 9 am – 12 pm, 1 -3 pm   ** Also, any senior interested in early release or early graduation, must have your parent come in and sign the form during these dates.
  • Freshman, Sophomore, and Juniors   August 10th & August 11th – 9 am – 12 pm , 1 -3 pm

‘Stuff the Bus’
School Supply Drive

When:  Friday, September 1, 2017; 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Where: Wal-Mart Supercenter – 2820 Gillespie Street; Fayetteville, NC 28306

  • Everyone is encouraged to help ‘stuff a school bus’ with school
    supplies to support students with special needs and those in need.
    Items like three-ring binders, notebook paper, pocket folders, dividers,
    pencils, pens, colored pencils, glue sticks, and hand sanitizer are
    appreciated.

PSAT Registration

Image of a pencil filling in a circle for the PSATAre you interested in taking the PSAT? The PSAT will be administered at Pine Forest on Wednesday, October 11, 2017. The fee to take the exam is $15 and is on a first-come, first-served basis. The student must be a 10th or 11th grader to take this exam.

The deadline to register is September 28, 2017, or until all spots are filled! No refunds will be granted. The $15 fee is non-refundable.

CCS PARTNERS WITH ARBITER SPORTS TO DETERMINE PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

Cumberland County Schools has partnered with Arbiter Sports to digitize all of our eligibility paperwork. You can complete all requirements online on a computer, tablet, or phone. Parents and students are required to complete athletic participation paperwork online for the 2017-18 school year.

Please use this site to follow your favorite teams and to register your child for all the sports they want to play this year. Please select the “Pre-participation” tab on the left of the page PFHS Arbiter Live  under the team logo, where you will find video tutorials on their site to assist you in registering your child.  Please contact Jason Norton, Athletic Director, if you have more questions.

FAST (Fayetteville Area System of Transit) Summer Fun Pass Program

FAST in red letters Fayetteville Area System of TransitFAST (Fayetteville Area System of Transit) is starting a new summer program focused on youth (under 18 years) called the “Summer Fun Pass.” The program provides unlimited bus rides from June 1 through August 31 at the low price if $15 per pass.  This pass is available now for purchase by youths at FAST offices and at the Transfer Center. Plans are to sell passes at several of the City’s recreation centers. For additional information about the Summer Fun Pass program, click here.
