Jostens will be on campus on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. This will be a drive-by pick up of information packets for class rings and graduation items. When arriving at the school, turn in at the student parking lot entrance and circle the outside of the student parking lot, then turn right and drive to the front of the school building (student rider drop off lane).

Prestige Portraits by Lifetouch

Due to the recent announcement that Cumberland County Schools will not return to in person learning until second semester, we would like to invite you to come to our studio for your Formal Yearbook portraits .  We will have the following dates available for Yearbook Portrait sessions:

October 5

October 14

October 19

October 20

October 30

Please do not contact the school for information. If you would like more information or to book a session, you can do so online at www.prestigeportraits.com/fayetteville or call our office at 910-425-0290.

Use code CCS2021 to save $10 off your session.

Ladies will need to bring a tank top and gentlemen will need bring a plain white t-shirt. Tux and drapes will be provided by Prestige.

If you would like to book a full session, we still have dates and appointments available for the Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate Sessions.

COVID-19

*Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, Prestige Portraits has put in place special precautions to make having your session done as safe and enjoyable as possible.  In addition to the use of PPE and an expanded cleaning regiment, we have redesigned the session experience to ensure that the senior is moved through the process without any unnecessary delays. In addition, the formal wear Prestige provides for the yearbook portrait will be disinfected between each use. Only one guest will be allowed to accompany a student to their session.

 

 

        
AP Announcement

All parents of students who are registered in an AP course for 1st semester or year long were sent a letter via US Mail reviewing this year’s guidelines for AP testing.  We ask that each parent and student please carefully review the letter.
In the letter, all parents and students were asked to complete the acknowledgment form no later than October 9, 2020.  The acknowledgment form can be accessed by using this link: PFHS Advanced Placement Testing (AP) Acknowledgement Form
If you have any questions or did not receive a letter in the mail, please contact Juelle McDonald or Laura Moya as soon as possible.
 
        
Virtual Career Series

My Best Life (MBL) Virtual Career Series
We are excited to offer live interviews and Q&A time with the professionals themselves—up close and personal! The MBL Virtual Series will consist of weekly episodes hosted live on Google Meet featuring a nationwide selection of premiere professionals from more than a dozen top career fields. The first episode, Law, kicks it all off on Friday, September 25th.

You MUST use your CCS E-mail address to enter the sessions and to register. Each MBL Series episode will be held weekly from 3:15-4:00. Please enter about 5-10 minutes prior to the start time with microphone muted. You will need to be dressed in school-appropriate attire with your camera ON throughout the presentation. Our career guests expect to see students. Failure to comply with engagement expectations will result in you being removed from the session.

Prom 2020 Announcement

Unfortunately, due to COVID 19 and social distancing restrictions, we are unable to host our 2020 PFHS Prom as planned.  We were looking forward to having a prom for our students as we know this is a memorable event for many, but at this time it is impossible for us to host prom.  Therefore, after much consideration, we have come up with the following plan of action to provide partial reimbursements and partial credits for those who paid Junior dues and outside guest fees for this year’s prom.  As you know, prom fees are included in the cost of junior dues. Members of the Class of 2021, who paid junior dues, will receive a $30 credit to their senior dues. The credit will be automatically transferred to the student’s senior dues, so members of the Class of 2021 do not have to fill out a request form.  Members of the Class of 2020 will receive a $30 partial refund upon request using the Request FormRequests for partial refunds must be made by the specified deadline of October 31, 2020. Outside guest applications will be fully refunded upon Request by the specified deadline of October 31, 2020. Please refer to the following chart for our reimbursement/credit system:

Eighty school buses with wifi connectivity will be deployed around the community to support connectivity. Students will have access to the username and password to use the bus as a mobile hotspot. The range of connectivity for each bus is the size of a football field. Students in the selected communities should be able to stay in their homes and connect to buses in the communities listed in the document.
