Wells Fargo Outstanding Educators of the Year 2018

Betty Musselwhite, the associate superintendent of School Support Services, introduced Wells Fargo, N.A., Cape Fear Market President of Wells Fargo Greg Reames, who presented this year’s Wells Fargo Outstanding Educator Awards at the Board meeting on March 13, 2018. The awards are designed to assist educators who want to bring their innovative ideas to life.  The award recipients were as follows:

Elementary Teacher Award Winner – Brandy Powers from Ponderosa Elementary School;
Secondary Teacher Award Winner – Michelle Quinn from Pine Forest High School (far left); and
Administrator Award Winner – Dr. Tonjai Robertson from South View High School.

Michelle Quinn, a registered nurse in the Academy of Emergency of Medical Science at Pine Forest High School, will implement the “Students Save Lives!” project. Grant funds will be used to purchase a CPR mannequin and stocked EMT trauma bags to be used to provide life-saving training for students. Students will use this training to earn their American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
