Image of PFHS Green Team in front of PFHS BannerCongratulation to the PFHS Green Team who recently won $20,000 in the 2016-2017 PepsiCo Recycle Rally!

The PFHS Green Team joined the Recycle Rally contest sponsored by PepsiCo where we collected plastic bottles and aluminum cans from our students, parents, staff, and community. Our Green Team would sort the items between plastic and aluminum, bag them up and weight each bag. PepsiCo would send auditors to our school at various times to confirm we were recycling the right kind of items and weight everything properly. The top schools with the most recycled items by weight would win a cash prize from $1,000  to $20,000 for their school. PFHS was able to rise up and make it to first place and brought home $20,000 for our school. This contest was a national contest, so we competed with schools from all across the USA. It was a lot of work for our Green Team, but well worth the time and effort everyone put in. It was amazing to see how much support we received from our school and community.

Special thanks to the Rally Leaders, Mr. Starling and Ms. Hibbert-Herzog!  Way to go Trojans!
